Last year, David was named one of the most influential people in the Australian social sector in Pro Bono’s Impact25 survey.
Throughout his 25 year tenure in the Community Services sector, David has been driven to innovate and advocate for people in the community marginalised by circumstance.
Following 11 years with Mission Australia, David was inspired to establish Lifestyle Solutions and enable the delivery of meaningful support to people living with disability. He was instrumental in the introduction of the Self Managed model of support for people living with disability in New South Wales – the precursor to the NDIS.
David led the organisation through 15 years of sustained growth, innovation and diversification until his retirement in June 2016.

It is Simon’s commitment to affordable innovation in housing that has driven the growth of SNL Building Constructions for the past 12 years.
When Simon founded SNL in 2004, he focused mainly on the construction of quality houses for entry level buyers and developers, and later on multi-unit developments.
Recognising a growing need for housing for people living with disability, Simon began working closely with a range of disability service providers to construct purpose-built accommodation in the Hunter, Port Stephens and Central Coast regions.
Inspired to innovate for NDIS participants, SNL is now using smart home technology and innovative design solutions to build houses for independence.
Tony’s experience in property development and project management began with a 12-year stint at a Hunter-based development company, where he completed more than 50 development projects in the residential, commercial, retail and industrial sectors.
Keen to transfer these skills to the social sector, Tony established Connectability Pty Ltd in 2009 to provide property development and project management consultancy for the delivery of socially responsible housing and infrastructure for people living with disability.
Working closely with disability service providers, Government departments and industry experts, Connectability has delivered projects throughout Australia with a total project value in excess of $70 million.
The NDIS will be one of the most significant social reforms of our lifetime and comes with a responsibility to
explore, innovate and create.
